New Years OOTD

New Years OOTD
New Years OOTD

So first of all A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my readers.
I am so excited for what 2015 has to come and to bring you guys on the journey with me.

Every year for New Years I purchase a new outfit but this year was an exception.
For my graduation in May I purchased a dress from Divine Boutique which you can find on instagram @ http://instagram.com/divineboutiquex/?modal=true.
And I have to say it just screams New Years.
Lets face it you cant go wrong with a sparkly piece for New Years so out it came for the occasion.

As this dress costed €149 and I had only worn it once I felt New Years was the perfect opportunity to bring it back out of my wardrobe.
A tip with re wearing pieces is to change up the accessories/hair or makeup in order to give the piece a new look.
Despite the fact my hair and makeup was similiar to my graduation I teamed the dress up with a black Zara coat, and a low heel shoe which were purchased in Penneys (see in my Christmas OOTD).

Hair:
In order to give my hair volume I used un heated rollers. If you have dead straight hair like me you will know how hard it is to create volume in your hair without getting a professional blowdry.

So how do you use rollers ?
Well as I always say I am no hair professional but in order to give my hair some volume and a kick at the bottoms I followed these simple steps.I didn't want to achieve curls at all.My aim was to create some volume .
  1. Wash your hair aprox 6 hours before leaving
  2. Let your hair dry until just damp
  3. Pop in your rollers working from the bottom of the strand of hair to your roots.
  4. Leave dry for a couple of hours depending on your hair type.
  5. Unravel the rollers one at a time  twisting each piece of hair as you release.

Overall I had an amazing night and hope you guys did too.
